How to Create a Clear Bakery Order Form

Turn a conversation into an order record that both the baker and customer can verify.

Capture contact and timing

Use the customer's preferred contact details, event date, pickup or delivery window, and location. Separate the person ordering from the person receiving when needed.

Describe what is approved

List products, quantities, sizes, flavors, finish, wording, colors, non-edible pieces, and attached references. A line-item total is easier to verify than one unexplained amount.

Worked example

Educational example: 24 cupcakes at $3.25 plus a $15 delivery line produces $93 before tax. Record a $40 payment separately so the remaining balance is $53.

Avoid silent edits

Give the form a revision number and approval date. Preserve earlier versions when scope, quantity, price, or timing changes.

Put it into practice.

Use your own verified receipts and label every example as an estimate.
